Leisuretec showcase New Products at PLASA Focus Leeds 2023

Our team couldn’t wait to get to Leeds this year to catch up with customers, suppliers and industry friends, and showcase some exciting new products from Chauvet Professional, Sennheiser and our new video brand Theatrixx. And the show certainly didn’t disappoint! There was a vibrant buzz on the show floor for both days and it didn’t feel like there was a quiet moment for the whole event.

Theatrixx

The first thing you would’ve seen as you entered the New Dock Hall was Theatrixx’s range of xVision video signal converters sitting pretty on the corner of our booth. Purpose-built for live events and touring, xVision has a converter for HDMI, SDI, Fibre and HDBaseT, all up to 4K and thanks to in-built PSUs and a rugged housing they are a reliable alternative to cheaper, throw-away type video signal converters. Every converter is also available as a reversible rack module which slots into the RF8 8-Slot 3U Rack, letting you build your own racked converter system to suit your requirements.

Behind the xVision converters sat the xPressCue, Theatrixx’s answer to unreliability issues incurred by running video playback for live events from a laptop. The xPressCue is a 1U hardware based 4K video media player with 1TB SSD storage onboard and 4 methods of easy control: the OLED display, StreamDeck, IP web GUI or DMX. The xPressCue is a professional solution to live event video playback with industry-standard features like PowerCON In+Thru, along with all necessary video output connectors to run your event: 2x 12G/6G/3G SDI BNC outputs, 1x HDMI 2.0 type A locking connector and DisplayPort 1.4.

The centrepiece of the stand was the Theatrixx xVision Nomad 2.6mm Pitch LED Display, which was showcasing some of our most popular Product Profile and educational content from our YouTube channel. Not only does the xVision Nomad have an impressive 2.6mm pitch, it also uses TPEP technology (Titanium/Polymer Edge Protection) which gives it unparalleled module protection and durability, minimising damage and thus repair costs.

Chauvet Professional

Thanks to Chauvet Professional who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere painted in Leisuretec colours. The Maverick Storm 2 BeamWash washed the stand and provided some eye-catching visual effects with its outer LED ring, the Maverick Force 1 Spot painted the floor with moving gobos and cut through the haze with some eye-catching aerial effects, whilst two COLORado PXL Bar 16s lit up our bright blue ceiling scrim and the Strike Array 2 provided a warm white wash for the whole booth. Our stand also featured the Ovation Fresnel F-415FCs which added a soft wash to our bar and product displays.

Sennheiser

Sennheiser used our booth as a base for the show and provided an impressive product display of EW-D, EW-DX, antenna distribution and the Profile Mic. EW-DX gained a lot of interest with many customers looking to reinvest or upgrade their wireless mic hire stock before the events season. With the highly anticipated EM 4-Channel Dante receiver expected later this year, there was a lot of buzz around EW-DX so it was a fantastic opportunity for customers to get a look and feel in person.

Out in force!

Team Leisuretec was out in force with Holly, Obed, Wayne, Charlie and Mike all manning the stand and chatting to customers.
