PLASA Show 2023 - A Show to Remember!

As the sun sets on PLASA Show 2023, we look back on all the exciting products, familiar faces and new opportunities we discovered this year in London.
With a record attendance, London Olympia’s premium show for sound and lighting was well worth the trip, with a huge range of brands showcasing their products, including everything featured on the Leisuretec stand.
This year we were showcasing some exciting new products from some of our leading manufacturers; CHAUVET Professional, Sennheiser, Theatrixx Technologies, Roland Pro AV, JVC and, a brand-new addition to our brand portfolio, Li.LAC.

Over the course of the show our stand was crewed by Wayne, Obed, Glenn, Matt, Clover and Craig from the sales team, with MD Mike Henden. Plus, the addition of Charlie, Sean, James & Jazz from our marketing team also greeting visitors and meeting our brand partners.
Overall footfall at the show was fantastic and this was prevalent on our stand where we got to meet and talk to all our amazing customers, suppliers, as well as meet lots of new faces to discuss some exciting opportunities!

We’ve always found that PLASA London is a hub for showcasing innovation and this year was no exception. As usual, our marketing team were roaming the halls to hunt down the latest releases and technology on show. Sean, James and Jazz visited some of the industry’s finest brands to find out more from their product specialists:
Allen & Heath
Allen & Heath were showing off their brand-new CQ series of compact audio mixers, comprising of the CQ-12T, CQ-18T and CQ-20B. These mixers are perfectly designed for gigging bands, rehearsal spaces, home recording and streaming, speech applications and corporate AV. Watch our video or click here to find out more:
Sennheiser
Moving onto the Sennheiser stand we were treated to the sight of the powerful EW-DX series, including the EW-DX EM 4 quad receiver with Dante. Also included in the racks was the L6000 intelligent charging station, which if paired with 4 of the LM6070 charging modules allows you to simultaneously charge 8 BA70 batteries. These batteries are a perfect addition to your EW-D, EW-DX and EW-DP set up. Talking of EW-DP, this year’s Sennheiser stand prominently featured the digital UHF wireless microphone system for video applications. Watch our video or click here to find out more:
Yamaha
Situated a stone’s throw from the Leisuretec stand, the Yamaha exhibited a range of their powerful mixing consoles, including the QL1 and brand-new DM7, with the DM7 being the star of the show. Perfect for broadcasting, streaming, music production, live hybrid events, and concerts, the DM7 series redefines operability and workflow while maintaining Yamaha's "natural sound" tradition.
Oh, and did we mention the head-turning R1M motorcycle Yamaha had on display!

NEXO
Positioned back-to-back with their parent company Yamaha, NEXO’s stand featured a wide variety of powerful loudspeakers, including the GeoM series, P+ Series and their newly-introduced ePS range of installed loudspeakers. Underneath these quality cabinets lay the ELS400 and ELS600 subwoofers; the perfect companion to any installation. Watch our video or click here to find out more:
CHAUVET Professional
CHAUVET Professional’s towering stand stood testament to their dominance throughout the years at PLASA, and this year was no exception. Featuring their IP-rated Rogue Outcast series, powerful Maverick series and the newly-released COLORado PXL Curve 12, their stand created a shining beacon at the heart of the show. Li.LAC
Making its debut at the show, the Li.LAC Microphone Disinfector was being showcased on both the Sennheiser stand, as well as our own Leisuretec stand! This innovative product allows users to quickly and thoroughly disinfect their handheld, head-worn and lapel mics with the power of UV lights. This time-saving piece of kit was an instant hit with live production teams, sound engineers and event specialists all showing their interest in the rack-able wonder. With PLASA 2023 now fully under wraps, we look forward to returning again for 2024, as well as exhibiting at PLASA Focus Leeds in May.
