Our top 5 highlights from 2022

We’re very proud to say that 2022 has been a milestone year for Team Leisuretec. We’d like to thank you for your continued support and custom and take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
When you’re constantly looking forward towards your goal, it’s very easy to forget what you have accomplished. It’s important to reflect on your achievements and year-end is the perfect time to do so.
What are your highlights from 2022? Here are our top five:
1. Warehouse Expansion
Some of you may have seen our April Fools about the subterranean warehouse expansion. If you haven’t, watch it here! It was a bit of fun but as it turns out, it’s not too far from the truth… This year we have expanded our warehouse space by 17,500 sqft in the form of two new warehouse units and a new floor in our prime storage location. Despatch has resumed as normal throughout this huge disruption, an amazing achievement which is testimonial to the hard work of our logistics team.
2. New Warehouse Management System
After that, we then deployed a barcoded warehouse management system (WMS), another huge learning curve for our team. This system is used for receiving goods, moving goods between storage locations and despatching them to you. We managed to implement this change with minimal disruption to our service, only closing shipping for one working day. Our new WMS will make our internal processes hugely more efficient and ultimately improve our service to you.
3. More creative content than ever!
Our YouTube Channel reached 1,000 subscribers in November and we have created more video and blog content than ever. We invest a lot of time and thought into creating this content so we really hope you find it helpful and engaging. Our Product Profile segment on YouTube focuses on new products and tech and we also have a monthly Product of the Month, usually a hot seller of the moment or a product we think you need to know about.
We try to write helpful and informative content for our blog page, with posts this year on Microphone Types, Active vs Passive Speakers, Theatrical Lighting, IEMs vs Wedges, Assistive Listening and more.

4. Tradeshows: Back in style
This year we thoroughly enjoyed our return to industry shows ISCVEx, PLASA Leeds, PLASA London and BPM Show. We took a refreshed look to our stand design and the focal point was a large LED screen showcasing some of our creative video content. We’re exhibiting at all of these shows next year, so make sure you stay in the loop for free tickets and announcements.
5. More stock than ever before
This highlight tends to feature every year, but that’s just because our stock keeps on growing! This year we have taken on more stock than ever to push forward with our vision to be the UK’s most recognised and warmly regarded trade distributor for professional & commercial audio, lighting and video, best known for our reliability, helpfulness, consistency and for simply doing things better.
6. Bonus: Our Team!
Saved the best ‘til last. We finish this post with a special thank you to our incredible team. They have all achieved some sensational things this year and have contributed hugely towards the growth of Leisuretec but most importantly, have maintained an exceptional level of customer service to you. Our team is what makes our company, and we’re very proud to be Team Leisuretec.
