Marketing Director

Charlie Henden

A member of the Leisuretec family from birth, Charlie has grown up with the business and developed a lifelong passion for music as a drummer, pianist, and former DJ. Since officially joining in 2015, he has gained experience across all areas of the company, giving him a strong understanding of how each part of the business connects.

As Marketing Director, Charlie oversees all things marketing, website, and IT. Alongside his day-to-day role, he also takes on wider business management responsibilities and leads special projects that continuously improve our infrastructure, processes, and overall value to customers.

Outside of work, Charlie enjoys playing football, practising the piano, and walking his dog, Bruce. He also values time spent with friends and family, balancing his professional drive with plenty of energy for the things he loves.

What's behind my top four product picks

  1. xVision 4K 1:4 HDMI Distribution Amplifier – I’m a fan of Theatrixx and this product is the ‘gateway’ drug into their reliable and robust video converter solutions. It’s our best seller and for good reason: HDMI splitting is a common requirement and it’s at a great price point compared to other products in the market, and of course you get all of the benefits of Theatrixx products, too.
  2. Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWash – I just love the variety of visual effects you can achieve with this fixture. It performs as a smooth moving wash but the LED ring around the outside creates some great eye-candy too. We often use these on our booth at PLASA Leeds and London, they never fail to impress.
  3. HD25 Headphones – They take me back to my childhood! I used HD25s from a young age when learning to play the drums and listening to music. Back then I didn’t realise I was listening to music through such iconic headphones.
  4. XDJ-RX3 – Throughout my 'teens I DJed many parties and weddings with the CDJ-350s. They were discontinued a while ago so if I were still DJing now I’d be using this controller thanks to its portability and large touch screen display.

It would have to be wireless mains!

If I were to swap roles with someone in the team, who would it be and why?

In my personal life I love to be active, so it would have to be one of the team in logistics as I get to lift heavy boxes and get my steps in!

My favourite thing about working at Leisuretec

I just love our industry and the people in it. Our suppliers, customers, our Leisuretec team. I’m pretty geeky for the products, too.
