RCF have just announced THREE brand new speakers in the EVOX J Series.
Building on the huge success of the original EVOX systems, RCF have taken everything that made the EVOX 8 so popular and reimagined it for today’s demanding live sound environments. The result is three brand new true 3-way column speaker systems, featuring a redesigned aesthetic and a new electroacoustic architecture throughout.
The EVOX J Series now consists of three new models:
- EVOX J9
- EVOX JMIX9
- EVOX J11
Each system is designed to deliver powerful, high-definition sound from an ultra-portable format, making them ideal for DJs, bands, performers, and event professionals who need serious output without a bulky footprint.
EVOX J9: Compact Size, Serious Performance
At a glance, the EVOX J9 is an active true 3-way portable column system. While it takes inspiration from the EVOX 8, the J9 has been completely renewed from the ground up. Although it may look familiar, the performance improvements are immediately noticeable.
Key enhancements include:
- Enhanced sound quality thanks to dedicated low, mid, and high-frequency drivers
- Increased power with a 1050W RMS, class-leading power module
- Improved coverage with a 120° horizontal and 40° vertical dispersion
RCF have also refined the way coverage is handled. Unlike previous EVOX 8, J8, and EVOX 12 systems that relied on pole-height adjustment to align the column with the audience, the EVOX J9 (and J11) uses a True Resistive Waveguide with a controlled 40° vertical pattern integrated into the cone array. This means you’re getting consistent sound coverage for both seated and standing audiences without the need for constant height adjustments.
However, in situations where the audience is significantly above or below the system’s support plane (for example, when using tiered seating), RCF offer optional half-length and full-length pole extensions that attach directly to the subwoofer. When the system is used on a raised platform such as a stage, the array can also be mounted directly to the subwoofer.
EVOX J11: More Output, Same Portability
The EVOX J11 builds on the J9 platform for when you need more headroom and coverage without losing portability. The J11 will offer you larger amplifiers and additional 6 x 3” full range neodymium transducers, but to make it clearer we’ve added a quick side-by-side comparison below.

Despite the added power, the EVOX J11 still weighs just 29kg, which is remarkable for a column speaker system of this capability.
Another subtle but important difference lies in DSP voicing. The J9 features a Live/Linear preset, offering a flatter, more neutral response where the EVOX J11 has a Linear and additional Live DSP preset that’s optimised for live performance. Plus, both systems will have Club and Voice presents as standard.
EVOX JMIX9: All-in-One Simplicity
The EVOX JMIX9 takes everything that makes the J9 appealing and adds integrated digital mixing. As the name suggests, it’s essentially a J9 combined with an onboard mixer, making it a powerful all-in-one solution.
It features:
- An 8-channel stereo digital mixer
- A 2.4” full-colour touchscreen
- App-based control for wireless operation
For performers, DJs, or bands who want fast setup, minimal cabling, and complete control from a single system, the JMIX9 is a standout option.
RCF’s JMixRemote app allows full wireless control via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), giving users access to both the JMIX8 and JMIX9. Alternatively, all functions can be accessed directly from the onboard touchscreen, which includes a lock screen to prevent accidental adjustments during performances.
