Our Product of the Month for June is the Auri system from Ampetronic and Listen TechnologiesAuri is one of the first complete assistive listening solutions built around Auracast™ broadcast audio technology, helping venues deliver clear, high-quality audio directly to listeners in a way that is simple, flexible and ready for the future.

What is Auri?

Consisting of transmitters (now available in a sleek black finish), a dedicated receiver, docking stations and management software, Auri can broadcast audio to an unlimited number of compatible devices within range. Compatible devices include hearing aids, headphones, smartphones and, of course, the Auri receiver. To see if your device is compatible, check out the full Auracast™ device list here.

Transmitter

The transmitters are available in four models, with Dante and non-Dante options offered in both black and white finishes. These sleek, low-profile units are easy to conceal or mount to a wall or ceiling using the included bracket.

They can be powered via PoE, meaning a single Ethernet cable can provide power, network control and audio over IP, with Dante® network audio available on AURI-TX2N-D models. The transmitters are capable of broadcasting up to 100 metres in any direction (depending on the environment) and can also operate as repeaters to extend coverage where required.

The transmitters feature two balanced analogue mic/line audio inputs for the two radios, allowing for single-stream mono audio, true stereo audio or dual mono streams with separate audio.

Receiver

Although Auri's primary use case is transmitting audio directly to users' devices, a dedicated receiver is available for those who do not have a compatible device. This is a valuable option, as Auracast™ is still a relatively new technology and ensuring accessibility for all users remains essential.

The receiver features a simple layout with an OLED display and intuitive control buttons, helping to make the user experience as accessible as possible. It includes two 3.5 mm headphone outputs, allowing up to two headphones to be connected to a single receiver.

The dual output also supports the use of the Auri neckloop/lanyard with telecoil-equipped hearing aids and cochlear implants.

Docking Stations

Alongside the dedicated receivers, Auri offers charging docking stations designed to accommodate either four (AURI-D4) or sixteen (AURI-D16) receivers.

These docking stations also provide network connectivity and can store receiver configurations, enabling centralised management, programming and system configuration.

Manager Software

Auri Manager Software is a free Windows® application designed to simplify the configuration and management of Auri transmitters, docking stations and receivers across your network.

Using the software, you can easily track and manage inventory, monitor system health, customise settings and secure specific broadcasts. Request the software here.

Applications

Thanks to its flexible mounting options, optional Dante connectivity and support for assistive listening, audio description and language interpretation, Auri is ideal for a wide range of applications, including theatres, educational facilities, transport hubs, houses of worship and many more.

Conclusion

As Auracast™ technology continues to gain adoption, Auri provides a practical and future-ready solution for venues looking to improve accessibility and enhance the listening experience for all users. By combining flexible deployment options, simple system management and support for a wide range of compatible devices, Auri makes it easier than ever to deliver high-quality audio directly to listeners. Whether for assistive listening, audio description or language interpretation, Auri offers a scalable solution that is ready to meet the needs of modern venues.
