CHAUVET WELL Series Complete Breakdown
For years, CHAUVET Professional’s battery-powered WELL series has been a favourite among hire and events companies, thanks to its easy charging, IP-rated construction and exceptional versatility. Building on this success, CHAUVET has launched a new line of WELL fixtures. To help you get to know the new range, we teamed up with CHAUVET’s Product Manager, Ben Linwood, to bring you a complete overview.
The new models utilise a new RGBWW LED chip, offering richer colour mixing and more accurate whites. Each fixture comes as a complete bundle, including a rugged charging flightcase that simplifies setup and transport. The updated line includes an uplighter, batten, panel and two PAR cans, ideal for lighting events, stages or any space that needs to look its best with minimal fuss.
Each fixture has been carefully designed for a wide range of applications. They all share the same LED chip and offer identical battery runtime modes: 5, 8, 12 or 18 hours. You won’t have to worry about a fixture losing power partway through your event.
WELL CONNECT
At the heart of the new range is WELL CONNECT, a compact battery-powered CRMX transceiver. It can transmit to all the new fixtures or receive from a lighting desk if needed. It also connects to the new ConnectFX mobile app, giving you control over every WELL fixture and letting you save your scenes in advance. These can include static looks or dynamic effects like fades and flashes. All scenes are stored directly on the WELL CONNECT, so when you arrive on site, you simply choose the scene you need and you’re ready to go. The WELL CONNECT also supports DMX input, perfect for advanced lighting control through a desk.
WELL FIT X
The WELL FIT X builds on the popular WELL Fit. It now features 9 LEDs instead of 4, delivering more output while being 200 grams lighter and slightly smaller making it great for portability. The LED chip has been upgraded from RGBA to RGBWW, making it easier to achieve a warm white wash directly from the unit.
It retains its chrome finish to blend seamlessly with any décor, and there are now optional black or white slip-on covers for theme matching. Magnetic filters allow quick adjustments to the beam angle without tools, and both fixtures and accessories fit inside the charging flightcase. The case charges the fixtures even when closed, making it simple to store, stack and charge all at once.
WELL PODs
The WELL PODs are compact PAR cans designed for tight spaces and flexible use. There are two versions: the WELL POD 2 with 7 LEDs, and the WELL POD 3 with 19 LEDs. Both are ideal for architectural accents, scenic features or fast setups.
Each model includes a removable split yoke that requires no tools to remove. Thanks to built-in kickstands, both PODs can also be used as uplighters, making these units extremely versatile. If you’re looking to hang the fixtures, the WELL POD 3 includes an Omega receiver for use with Omega brackets and the WELL POD 2 can have a coupler mounted to it.
Both models can run on mains power for extra brightness and use the same screen interface as the WELL FIT, making them familiar and easy to operate. The WELL POD 2 comes in a set of six, and the POD 3 in a set of four. Each set includes a charging flightcase for the fixtures and accessories. Optional white covers are also available.
The WELL FIT X, WELL POD 2 and WELL POD 3 feature a built-in theft alarm to deter tampering or accidental movement. If the unit is picked up, it triggers a high-pitched alarm and flashes red and blue. It’s impossible to ignore it.
WELL PANEL X
The WELL PANEL X is an enhanced version of its predecessor. It now has 40 LEDs, up from 24, for significantly greater brightness. Despite the performance boost, it keeps the same footprint and is nearly 1kg lighter, ideal when transporting multiple units.
It provides a smooth, even wash with excellent beam control, perfect for stages, backdrops and large architectural areas. Optional filters are available to adjust the beam shape, including 100°, 10x60°, 60x60° and 45°. The WELL PANEL X comes as a set of 4 panels.
WELL BATTEN 14
The WELL BATTEN 14 is a new addition to the WELL family. Like the rest of the range, it’s fully battery-powered and uses the same RGBWW LEDs. The name comes from its 14 control segments, made up of 28 LEDs, giving you full control for chases and other visual effects.
It comes with Omega brackets for ceiling mounting and features sliding barn doors with a quick-release mechanism. Simply hold the release and slide the barn doors in or out. When not in use, the doors can be reversed and stored directly on the fixture.
Weighing just 7.4 kg, the batten is extremely versatile and well suited for lighting walls, truss, catwalks or scenic elements. It offers all the smart control and battery flexibility of the WELL range in a lightweight, compact design that’s easy to deploy and built for travel. The WELL BATTEN 14 comes as a bundle of 4 and includes 8 Omega brackets.
