Unlocking powerful control for lighting designers, the MagicQ Compact Series of consoles from ChamSys are small, compact and lightweight. They come with a flood of features, from multi-touch displays to silent operation and inbuilt WIFI, making them ideal for both the razzmatazz of theatre productions and the gravity of broadcasts.
The MQ70, which appeared as Leisuretec’s Product of the Month in November 2023, supports 24 universes with an option to expand to 48 for bigger productions. The MQ50, meanwhile, directly supports eight universes for small to medium-sized installations, clubs and schools.
And now… the MagicQ Compact Wing has arrived as a supporting character in the cast. Expanding the MagicQ setup, this powerful addition provides 20 extra playbacks in the form of 10 faders and 10 executor buttons. Paging functions on the wing are completely independent from the connected console, offering greater flexibility for the control of lights. Plus, there’s a large, full-colour touchscreen display for legending and added control.
The Compact Wing has been styled to match the height and colour of the MQ50 and MQ70 and includes the same illuminated faders as the MQ70, so it looks right at home. The wing is also fully compatible with any other MagicQ Compact or Stadium console, as well as PC systems running MagicQ software.
The box includes a USB cable, mains cable, and dust cover. The inclusion of a dimmable dual-colour working light is a great asset for dark environments such as theatres or live venues.
