These Things Happen with Void's Venu Range
These Things Happen (TTH) was a brand-new venue in Sunderland. The owner, Walter Veti, envisioned a family-friendly breakfast-to-lunch setting that transitioned in the evening to a vibrant music hub. Having owned previous bars and clubs, Walter knew the importance of having the perfect sound system and collaborated with Douglas from DACS Audio to design the correct one for TTH.
The goal was to achieve a well-distributed, low-volume audio during the day and a powerful dynamic system for the night. Void was the obvious answer from the get-go due to its ability to deliver clear audio at both high and low volumes and to distribute balanced sound across areas, which was perfect for such a busy bar.
The Venu series was strategically placed around the venue to ensure constant sound quality. Venu 12s were positioned in the DJ/Live performance area complemented by the Venu 115 Subwoofers facing the audience to facilitate an immersive experience. In addition, Venu 8s and 10s were used as delayed fill speakers, so the focus could be maintained on the artists with peace of mind knowing the audio quality wouldn’t drop.
The selection of speakers was driven by the need to cover distances effectively while keeping the desired audio quality. As the Venu range is known for its crisp, deep and even sound, TTH has achieved the goal that was first set and created a diverse, unique experience. 'Douglas’ design ticked all my boxes. I’m now totally confident booking the best DJs and performers to play here,' Walter says.
Leisuretec’s close relationship with Void Acoustics, plus their impressive stock across the Venu and Cyclone series, ensured all equipment was delivered on time and really wowed audiences. As a dedicated music fan, Walter will now use Void in all his bars and clubs, with the kit supplied by Leisuretec and professionally installed by the skilled DACS Audio team.
