January Product of the Month: Nexadyne

Shure tells a story of innovation – from humble beginnings selling radio parts in the downtown Chicago of the 1920s to the global behemoth of today. A gold-standard leader in the audio industry, its 55 model is as legendary now as when Elvis was in the building and the SM58 as tough as Roger Daltrey’s boots.

Always striving to add to the sonic roadmap, the brand’s celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2025. What better way, then, to kick off the year than with the Nexadyne Wired Microphone Series as Product of the Month.

Featuring Shure’s patented Revonic technology, this breakthrough line of dynamic vocal microphones, available in both cardioid and supercardioid, is designed for live performance. Unlike traditional dynamic mics that use a single transducer, the Nexadyne wired microphones employ two precisely matched transducers working together. The result minimises handling noise and produces a bright, ‘mix-ready’ sound that has natural and authentic clarity. Built-in acoustic signal processing also reduces the need for post-production adjustments.

NXN8/S Nexadyne Supercardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone:
The combination of supercardioid polar pattern linearity with state-of-the-art acoustic signal processing of the dual engine design produces exceptional signal clarity and a wide pick-up pattern. With the NXN8/S, vocals are able to cut through to the very last row of an audience.

NXN8/C Nexadyne Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone:
A clean and natural cardioid pattern allows vocals to reach every corner of a live event venue with ease and precise pick-up. The acoustic signal processing of the dual engine design of the NXN8/C enables remarkable signal clarity, reducing the need for typical corrective EQ.

Since January’s Product of the Month, Shure have also launched three new instrument dynamic mics for touring and live performance, all with two transducers inside one microphone capsule. Come take a closer look…

Nexadyne 2 Supercardioid Dynamic Kick Drum Microphone:
Traditionally, a kick drum is fitted with two microphones, one to capture the overall character of the instrument and drive the track forward, and the other to capture the wash. The Nexadyne 2 has been designed to give the audio response of both of these microphones in one enclosure, which means more sonic options. A clever piece of kit, it also features a swivel joint and contoured EQ. There’s built-in protection from stage rumble and low-end clarity, and the finish is discreetly black for low onstage profile.

Nexadyne 5 Supercardioid Dynamic Guitar Amp Microphone:
No need for the conventional two mic stands, two XLR cables, and combining two channels in a desk. This sounds like both a ribbon and a dynamic microphone in one. Designed to work on guitar and bass cabinets, the tiny, full-range dynamic cartridge design allows for easy placement, be it hanging from an amp or secured with the mic clip and stand. Built with the durability and performance for which Shure is renowned, the Nexadyne 5 combines state-of-the-art acoustic signal processing and exceptional supercardioid polar pattern linearity. The resulting sound is fantastic.

Nexadyne 6 Supercardioid Dynamic Tom/Snare Microphone:
Clear high-frequency response, extremely flat mid-range and full low-end are all covered for professional touring. The Nexadyne 6 has the attack of an SM57 but the overall response is much wider with more sonic options at the transducer point. It’s hard-wearing and road-worthy with a handy tom clip so it fits straight onto the rim of the drum without needed any extra mic stands. Plus, a unique fixed angle design and a smaller drum mount reduce movement once a performance starts. Sold as a single or a three-pack with drum mount

Nexadyne 2, 5 and 6 are in stock at Leisuretec, so talk to our team to discuss your audio requirements. These innovative mics could be the key to taking your sound to the next level!
