Masons Sound Integrate Dynacord and Cloud in Camden's Junkyard Golf
Masons Sound took on an exciting project at the newest Junkyard Golf site in Camden, London. The objective was to create an immersive audio environment to enhance the overall golfing and entertainment experience. Because Junkyard Golf is renowned for its psychedelic experiences, it was imperative this project was executed with the correct audio-visual equipment.
The primary challenge was the sheer scale of the installation. With over 100 speakers spanning two floors, ensuring consistent and high-quality sound distribution was key. A further consideration was to have a sound system with robust reliability and protection mechanisms to guarantee uninterrupted performance.
Masons Sound chose to deploy the Dynacord L series, Cloud Z8 and VMA120 amplification systems, citing several reasons: 'Dynacord are renowned in the industry for their robust and reliable nature. Given the high-demanding environment, these amplifiers were a logical choice to ensure long-term performance without disruptions,' explains Mason Sounds Philip Bowman. 'The nimble DSP functionalities of Dynacord amplifiers added another layer of versatility to the system'. This allowed Masons Sound to finetune the audio setup to suit the unique requirements of a multi-floor, dynamic entertainment space.
Sound system protection is also important in any audiovisual installation. With Dynacord amplifiers, it was possible to implement top-quality limiting measures, safeguarding the sound system against overloads and ensuring its longevity. The addition of Cloud’s Z8 and VMA120 allowed the venue to easily select audio sources in multiple zones at once, as well as tailor volume to perfectly complement the golfing experience. '…both brands of amplifiers make an obvious choice for any project, big or small,' Philip adds.
Using this mix of Cloud and Dyancord amps ensured a consistent, high-quality output so the venue could benefit from smooth-running audio and customers enjoy the Junkyard Golf experience for years to come.
