PLASA Show 2025: A Peep Into The Leisuretec Stand
Summer is galloping on, which can only point to one thing for the lighting, audio, AV and staging aficionados in Team Leisuretec… PLASA Show 2025 is about to rise once more beneath the barrel-vaulted roof of Olympia, London. So, lace up your exhibition shoes and lean into your curiosity, because we’re about to take you on a journey around the Leisuretec stand, E12.
Walk along the show’s central thoroughfare and, boom, there we’ll be. Our stand is larger than ever before with a fresh glow and a record number of exhibiting brands. You can look forward to never-before-seen products and new supplier partnerships. A knowledgeable team of tech experts (Matt, Craig and Glenn), sales and new business development (Emma), marketing (Jazz and James) plus Szilvia, Izzy and Hollie from sales will be ready and willing to chat about what’s hot for both hire stock and AV installations. Managers Charlie and Wayne will also be floating around and, just like the rest of the team, will be interested to learn more about your business, AV requirements, and how we can best support you.
Onto the products. This year, we’ll be teasing a snapshot of stock from 13 of our leading suppliers: RCF, Electro-Voice and Void, Sennheiser, and also Martin Audio using our booth as their sole show base. Kees from Roland Pro AV will be travelling from the Netherlands to join us and a product specialist from Allen & Heath will be on hand, taking you to the heart of their brands. Our lighting rig will showcase the latest innovations from CHAUVET Professional, all controlled by the ChamSys and GeNetix IP nodes. All told, it’s bound to create a buzz.
'Our stand will be a statement piece this year for Leisuretec, I’m hoping we’ll be the talk of the town! In terms of the size of the booth, the number of suppliers and the graphics it’ll be our biggest show presence ever. It’s the result of an amazing team effort to pull it all together and I’m excited to see it come to life.'

What’s On The Booth...
From CHAUVET Professional and CHAUVET DJ:
With CHAUVET sponsoring the stand again in 2025, we’ve carefully selected four of their powerhouse products. We stock all the lighting fixtures that are featured, so if you like what you see...
Maverick Force X Spot
Making its industry debut, we’ll be using the Maverick Force X Spot to project our Leisuretec gobo across the stand and bring the product to life. The lightweight and compact LED moving spot comes with a full armoury of features. Smooth colour mixing, static and rotating gobo wheels and superb dimming performance combine to suit both small and medium multifaceted projects.
STRIKE V
You’d traditionally see COLORado PXL Curves on our stand to give passers-by that instant wow. In 2025, though, we’re showcasing the Strike V fixtures to give a flavour of how sleek and gorgeous they can look in real-life settings. A welcome addition to the tour-proven STRIKE family, CHAUVET’s new hybrid strobe/wash with a motorised 180-degree tilt introduces dynamic dual-layer pixel effects. The dual LED diodes make it easy to instantly change beam angles, while advanced eye-candy effects, vibrant colour washes, and stunning strobe capabilities are designed for powerful performance.
Eve E-160ZQ
EVE E-160ZQs are top of the class and an absolute staple in any lighting arsenal, hence their appearance here. Full-colour ellipsoidals, they’ll be shining a soft spot on each plinth to highlight the stand’s products, cutting through all the washes of light to make the products truly pop.
COLORado Solo Bar 6
We jumped at the opportunity to include two COLORado Solo Bar 6s – the wash these bars are able to produce is nothing short of stunning. They’ll be shining from the back of the stand, slicing through the area, and bathing everything with a gorgeous hue of Leisuretec colours.
From Void:
Air 12
Launching soon, this is an early outing for the compact Air 12. Finished in the brand’s trademark fiery red, the 2-way loudspeaker is not only visually striking but has a 400 W AES power-handling coaxial driver to deliver precise sound coverage and exceptional audio clarity. Constructed from fibreglass composite, it’s weather-resistant and comes with adjustable tilt and flush-mount fixtures. We heard the speaker for ourselves at The Void Experience at Studio 338 in June and can say with absolute conviction that it's earned pride of place on our stand.
From Electro-Voice:
EVERSE 12
The EVERSE 12 battery-powered loudspeaker takes advantage of a two-way configuration with a 12-inch woofer and a titanium compression driver mounted on Electro-Voice’s patented SST baffle. Producing deeper bass than the EVERSE 8 for professional level performance, it has a weatherised enclosure and built-in 4-channel digital mixer.
RE3 Wireless Mic System
Electro-Voice’s handheld mic system is well-built with an ND76 cardioid microphone head to produce excellent vocal performance and a metal case for the transmitter. The large diaphragm dynamic capsule creates a detailed frequency response while setup is quick using the RE3 clear frequency scan and sync functions.
From RCF:
NXL 14-A
The most compact active speaker in the NXL series excels in live systems. Two 6” woofers and the new 1.75” Precision Transducers PKX driver, powered by a 2,100W two-channel amplifier, makes it capable of producing massive sound. We'll be showing a surprisingly popular white version.
From Sennheiser:
EW-DX EM 4
The DANTE QUAD 19" Wireless Receiver can be used with Evolution Wireless Digital handheld, bodypack and tablestand transmitters. Some of the many features include in-device charging, 12-hour battery operation, four network ports, and up to 88 MHz switching bandwidth.
EW-DX EM 2
The 2-Channel Half-Rack Receiver is designed to simplify professional workflow. The network-ready system is compatible with EW-DX SK bodypack, EW-DX SKM handheld, and EW-DX TS tabletop transmitters. The 80 MHz tuning range, intelligent switching diversity, auto-scan, and equidistant tuning grid provide rock-solid wireless performance.
L6000 + Modules
This practical and intelligent charging station fits up to four modules with two charging ports each for bodypack or handheld transmitter batteries (Digital 6000 and Digital 9000). It’s often bought with the LM6070 Charging Module for two BA 70 rechargeable battery packs.
From Theatrixx:
LED Totem Digital Poster
With or without a flightcase, single or as a pair, the Totem is a powerful screen for advertising and way-finding in corporate, exhibitions and live events. Its plug-and-play approach means it can be quickly deployed in events and the content updated in just a few clicks via Wi-Fi. Overall, a great way for hire companies to add an extra revenue stream.
New Fibre Video Converters
We’ll be showcasing Theatrixx’s robust video signal converters, built to withstand the rigorous demands of live events and touring. The range includes SDI, HDMI, HDBaseT and Fibre conversion options, with inbuilt power supplies, locking connectors and SDI relay outputs. They’re available in both ‘throwdown’ units for stage use, or a reversible modular rack design, an intuitive option to make deployment and configuration super quick and easy. We’re hoping to have their latest Fibre Breakout Boxes and 4-Bay Portable Rack on display, so watch this space!
xPressCue
Displayed in a rack, Theatrixx’s Video Media Player has no equivalent. The xPressCue solves the slew of reliability problems introduced by using a laptop for media playback without the price tag of a media server. Offering 4K playback of any media file and flexible control via the Web GUI, Elgato Streamdeck or API, this unit is a real powerhouse for live production, exhibitions, and retail.
From Allen & Heath:
QU-5D
Making its inaugural appearance, the latest rack-mountable incarnation of Allen & Heath’s legendary digital mixer takes the acclaimed QU16 design and enhances it with powerful XCVI processing and new FX engines. It’s supercharged with a 96kHz core and offers 36 input channels and 12 mix outputs.
CQ-12T
The CQ-12T is the smallest digital mixer in the CQ range with a 7″ touchscreen and connectivity via ten mic/line inputs. It’s ideal for small gigs and speech applications.
SQ-Rack
With 48 channels and a rack-mountable design, the digital mixer features 16 high-quality onboard mic preamps and three stereo line inputs. Hands-on controls and customisable screens, plus remote access, gives ultimate control.
From Yamaha and Roland:
The two brands will be sharing a plinth for the first time to signal a new collaboration between Yamaha’s DM3 and Roland’s V-80HD. Kees from Roland will be demonstrating how the two consoles integrate seamlessly through ethernet cable – set up an IP address and they’re good to go.
V-80HD
Easy to carry and set up, Roland’s streaming eight-channel video switcher meets professional video production needs with a 28-channel digital audio mixer, five-layer video effects engine, and powerful live production automation.
DM3
A compact digital mixer with a 9-inch multi-touch screen, Yamaha’s DM3 is known for its superb sound quality and professional-level features. It features 16 mono and one stereo input mixing channels and is fully compatible with Dante technology.
From ChamSys:
MagicQ Compact Wing
Leisuretec’s Product of the Month for August, the versatile expansion wing pairs with MagicQ Consoles and PCs to add playback control. Ten faders, ten executors, a large full-colour touchscreen display and dimmable dual colour working light come together in sleek housing.
From Martin Audio:
Q44 and Q26
Launched only in July, this is the only place at Olympia to view the 2-way passive BlacklineQ44 and the BlacklineQ26 as Martin Audio make a grand entrance into the world of column speakers. In either black or white, both operate as stand-alone systems or with the Blackline Q210 subwoofer and are engineered for clarity and control.
‘I’m really excited to see and hear the BlacklineQ in the flesh, Martin Audio’s first foray into the column speaker market. I’m sure they are going to be one of the stand-outs at the show, come check them out!’
Craig, Technical Sales
From Shure:
SLXD4Q+ Quad
A great choice for streamlining SLX-D digital wireless performance with four channels in one rack space, Shure’s Wireless Rack Receiver benefits from 24-bit digital audio and rock-solid RF performance.
SBRC
Accommodating up to eight Shure rechargeable bodypack and handheld transmitter batteries in a single rack space, the networked battery rack charger is compatible with Shure rechargeable batteries SB910, SB920A, SB910M, AXT910, AXT920 and SB900B.
Secret Product
Hot off the press, we’re launching a ‘to-be-revealed-on-the-day’ product from Shure, destined to be a huge talking point between audiophiles at the show. The Leisuretec stand will be the first and only place, not just at PLASA but in the UK, and quite possibly Europe, to see it for yourself.
Other products from Shure, HD video converters from Theatrixx, and JVC’s PTZ Cameras will also be demoed – they promise to be exciting!
